Harvey Goodman to Speak on Adjusting Catastrophic Losses
Harvey Goodman, SPPA, President of Goodman-Gable-Gould/ Adjusters International will be speaking on “Adjusting Catastrophic Losses” April 29th at the American Bar Association’s 2011 Spring Meeting of the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section’s Property Insurance Law Committee. This session will discuss the roles of public adjusters and independent adjusters when traveling to other states to adjust catastrophic losses. Other points will include: licensing and registration requirements by jurisdiction; initial assessment of the loss specific to catastrophic issues; the availability of vendors and contractors; the resources needed and available for loss mitigation measures; and the role of market meetings in the adjustment process.
